It is wedding season! I love a wedding and designing wedding invitations is creative and an opportunity to create something bespoke and unique. I recently designed wedding invitations for a lovely couple, the future Mr and Mrs Smith, who wanted a vintage style invitation, a little bit 'bake off', sepia colours, bunting as well as being simple and traditional. They had this lovely bunting idea, each guest had to decorate a piece of bunting and send back with the RSVP for it all to be stitched together and hung at the wedding reception. I decided to use this idea and designed the invitations with their names being spelt out on bunting. I kept the overall design simple and elegant with a clear font which has a slight retro feel, whilst at the same time being clear and easy to read which was essential as there was a lot of information not only on the invitation but on the information inserts that I also designed. The invitations were printed on a brown card paper stock, creating a really nice finish. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Smith and thanks for entrusting me to design your wedding invitations!
